Facilities

To add or edit a facility, select the lists menu, then select Facilities.

* The secondary ID will also be shown in Box 33b if box 33 is setup to show the Facility Name/Address.

** The organization code appears in loop 2310B when the provider type is set to ‘2’ (non-person entity).  To set this setting see the Payer Filing setup screen.

For most practices, you will need to create at least one facility that represents the office where most services are performed.  If this is the case, check the box This Facility is where most Office Services are performed.  When you create claims, the Facility that has this box checked will be used by default.  Practices should not need to enter their Billing Provider or Rendering Provider NPI for this default office.  The Billing Provider NPI should be entered in the Practice Information screen and the rendering provider NPI should be entered in the Provider screen.
